Orchid Auction in Long Beach: March 23

The South Coast Orchid Society will hold an auction and sale of donated plants, books and supplies to support its monthly programs on Monday, March 23, at the Whaley Park Community Center, 5620 E. Atherton St., Long Beach. Doors open for plant viewing at 6 p.m., the auction will begin at 6:30. Cash, check and credit card will be accepted. The event is free and open to the public.

Notable selections this year include divisions of Cymbidiums from many years ago, Australian Dendrobium hybrids that have grown to specimen size, a wide range of blooming-size compact Cattleya hybrids, Laelia anceps, and many others, almost all suitable for outdoor growing.
