Community Church

This spring, Community Church will take a critical look at what people have been taught to believe, and ask: “What does it mean to be a child of God and a follower of the way of Jesus in the world today?”

People looking for a message of encouragement can join the church on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. at 14000 Church Place.

The Scriptures this week look at breath—the divine breath that resides within each person and that flows all around.

Community Church encourages believers to “Shine in the Darkness,” with a list of daily suggestions as alternatives to Lenten sacrifice. Copies of this list are available at the Sunday service, or in the church office during business hours from Tuesday-Thursday at 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

This week’s challenges are as follows:

March 19: Share a meal with a friend.

March 20: Visit someone.

March 21: Tell someone you’re grateful for them.

• March 22: Mini Easter, be kind to someone.

• March 23: Avoid complaining all day.

• March 24: Affirm someone in front of others.

People are welcome to arrive to service early for a cup of coffee and stay after for a time of light refreshment. The service is filled with beautiful music and a positive, progressive message. No prior church experience is required, and those who have been hurt by the church in the past are welcome.
