On Feb. 28, the LW Pool Club held its annual 10-ball tournament in Clubhouse 2. There were 12 two-person teams playing seven rounds. Ten ball is the most difficult game the club plays. Players have to shoot the lowest ball on the table and call the pocket on every shot. If the 10 ball goes in on the break, a player doesn’t win the game— the 10 is spotted up.

After three rounds, Dave Mackinder and Dave Silva were tied with John Burns and Jeffrey Furlong, with three wins.

In round four, Connie Terry and Kurt Bourhenne tied the two leading teams, when both Mackinder and Silva, and Burns and Furlong, lost their fourth game. Terry and Bourhenne managed to win the rest of their games when Bourhenne made a long shot in the corner on the ten ball in the seventh game to finish with six wins. Mackinder and Silva tied for second place with Burns and Furlong at five wins and two losses.

In the third week of the Monday pool league, The Tumbleweeds vaulted into first place by beating The Rustlers 11-2. The Tumbleweeds lead the Monday night league with a 27 and 12 record.

The Bees stung The Renegades with an 8-5 score. The Burners beat BDG 11-2 and trail The Tumbleweeds by three games. After a slow start, The Burners won 25 games and lost only five.

In the Wednesday league, The Pool Addicts maintained their league lead of 26 wins and 13 losses by beating Rack and Roll 8-5.

Chalk Dirty 2 Me edged The Predators 7-6 by winning the final three person eight ball match to break a six to six tie. The Favorites beat Break and Run 8-5 by winning the last two games of the night.
