The Salvation Army sent three workers to help the 10 GAF volunteers with unloading items to be donated from cars, moving boxes to the containers and stacking the containers into the trucks. Most of the residents who donated brought an average of 5-7 bags of stuff, including

Salvation Army and GAF volunteers small furniture, kitchen appliances, house appliances, golf clubs, TVs, luggage, house appliances, shoes, CDs, books, women’s handbags, vacuum cleaners, comforters, cans of soup, and miscellaneous items.

In addition to giving residents a convenient way to drop off donations, the program also saves shareholders money by cutting haul-away costs for items that were previously disposed of at the 1.8-Acre site.

The donations will help support the Salvation Army’s Adult Rehabilitation Centers located across Southern California.

The next donation event will be held on April 11 from 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. in the Amphitheater parking lot.
