LW Korean Community Church

Leisure World Korean Community Church (LWKCC) held a team leader and assistant leader training for 54 newly appointed volunteers under the leadership of Senior Pastor Yong Jang-young on Feb. 16 at Joshua Tree National Park.

The program included an overview of the church’s history and core teachings, along with messages of encouragement and vision casting. The spiritual direction of the church was presented through a meditation on Exodus 13:21–22, emphasizing God’s guidance by day and night.

During the training, church leaders reaffirmed the five core commitments that define the identity and calling of LWKCC: 1. Worship: To be worshipers who bring pleasure to God.

2. Fellowship: To live as members of the LWKCC community, united in God’s great love.

3. Discipleship: To grow as disciples of Christ who reflect the character of the Lord, following the spiritual guidance of Pastor Yang Wook.

4. Service: To serve as ministers who practice God’s love through acts of service.

5. Mission: To faithfully obey the Great Commission by spreading the gospel and engaging in missionary work.

The retreat concluded with a message of encouragement to the volunteers, that they would pray that God would open new paths before the church, send faithful helpers, and fulfill his promises in the year ahead.

LWKCC worships service every Sunday at 11:30 a.m. and holds early morning prayer at the sanctuary led by the senior pastor at 6 a.m. Tuesday-Saturday. The church is located next to St. Andrews Gate at 14000 Church Place.
