Those who are wise don’t always have to learn by personal experience, but can learn by the experience of others. But whose example are believers supposed to follow?

Jesus provides an invitation in Matthew 11:28-29, “Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

To find this rest that Jesus is offering, believers must come to him. Coming to him is rest. Matthew 5:3 says that when believers come to Jesus in humility they will learn from him: “Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

Join Faith Christian Assembly on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. The Bible study is every Wednesday at 11 a.m. The men’s and women’s ministries meet on the third Thursday at 1 p.m., the next one will be March 19.
