Assembly of God

Pastor Chuck Franco will continue Assembly of God’s Sunday series from the book of James 2:14-26 on Feb. 22. Faith and works, and the role each has in the life of the believer, was an issue among the early church, and is still debated today. James reduces it to a simply stated fact: faith without works is dead. Doing good things does not earn salvation. Doing good things flows out of a heart that has been changed through faith in Jesus Christ. In turn, as one exercises their faith and engages in good works, faith is strengthened as the outcomes are realized.

Bible study will take a break Wednesday, Feb. 25, and resume Wednesday, March 4.

Leisure World Assembly of God meets Sundays at 10:30 a.m. in the Clubhouse 3 Lobby. The Wednesday Bible study is at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2.
