Membership meeting during Valentine’s potluck

Enthusiasm is building for the Valentine’s potluck, scheduled for Friday, Feb. 13, at 5 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 1. About 50 members and guests have signed up to attend. Shuffleboard Club social events are always special, with food, games and lots of camaraderie. The general membership meeting, reported last week as taking place Feb. 12, has now been rolled into the Valentine’s potluck because the dates are only a day apart. That means there will be a short business meeting held during the Valentine’s party, but not so long as to spoil the fun.

The winter league is at the half way point this week. The last week of play will be the week off March 9.

Tuesday evening, Jan. 27 results: Team Sally edged out Team Bob 7-5 and Team Jesus did the same playing Team Sue 7-5. All-game winners that night were Lynn Baidack, Sally Fowler, Devon James and Susie Kim.

Thursday afternoon, Jan. 29 results: Team Jack nosed out Team Lynne 7-5. All- game winners were Judy Hulin, Bob Lyon and Jack O’Brien.

Friday morning, Jan. 30 results: Team Rod and Team Patti went neck and neck at 6-6. All-game winners were Lee Broadbent, Sally Fowler, Carol Johnson and Ellie West.
