ART HISTORY CLUB

The Art History Club will meet Thursday, Feb. 12, in Clubhouse 4 at 1:30 p.m. All residents are welcome.

Since its founding in October 2021, the Art History Club has presented historically renowned masterpiece paintings and classical music, including symphonies, concertos and opera arias for each session. Classes are accompanied by a concise pre-concert lecture.

The club meets in Clubhouse 4, the second and the fourth Thursday of each month at 1:30 p.m. Presentations are conducted through video. Verbal lectures are given in Korean. Text is shown at the beginning of each musical video.

The Feb. 12 meeting will feature:

• Internationally acclaimed Korean musician series-3: Dong Hyek Lim, Beethoven Piano Sonata No. 14 (“Moonlight Sonata”) (15:40)

• Internationally acclaimed Korean musician series-4: Yeol Eum Son, Rachmaninoff, Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Variations 11-18 (7:50)

• Masterpiece Paintings by Art Movement Series-7: REALISM (15:40)

• Claude Debussy, Clair de lune (5:53)

• Easy Listening: Candler, Kleine Traummusik / Jürgens, Merci chérie (7:31)

• Korean pop songs sung by non-Korean: Rencontre: Restakyan/ You and I/Forastiero (7:52)
