I cross the St. Andrews/ Golden Rain intersection almost every day.
Most of the time, when I'm crossing, cars turn right against the activated do-not-turn-right signals.
This of course is a serious safety issue for pedestrians who think (rightly) that they have the right-of-way while crossing.
In an attempt to protect pedestrians with these noright- turn signals, GRF has given pedestrians a false sense of security and consequently an increased level of the risk of a serious injury.
I question the project planners’ decision to install these relatively unfamiliar signals instead of ones that we are all used to, namely a traffic light that has a red arrow pointing right and integrated with the three-light signal.
I find this situation to be unacceptable.
