Redeemer Lutheran and St. Theodore

On Sunday, Jan. 25, the congregations of Redeemer Lutheran Church and St. Theodore of Canterbury Episcopal Church will celebrate the third Sunday after Epiphany at 10:30 a.m. at 13564 St. Andrews Drive. All are welcome to join the holy Communion service with the Rev. Murray Finck presiding.

Join the congregation after service for coffee, tea, cookies and snacks in the Fellowship Hall. This week, the congregation will celebrate January birthdays.

The 2026 flower chart is still available for sign ups.

The congregation collects boxed and canned goods to donate to the Lutheran Social Services to feed the hungry in Orange County.

The bazaar committee will hold crafting get-togethers on the first and third Mondays at 10 a.m. downstairs in the Fellowship Hall. This will help prepare for the spring and fall bazaars. The group will have pre-planned projects that anyone can do with the materials provided. All crafters are welcome.

The Bible study is on the book of Acts. The group meets from noon-1:15 p.m. People can bring a lunch and Bible. The study for this week revolves around Acts 8-12.

The Gospel lesson this week is from Matthew 4:12-23. Jesus fulfills the first lesson from Isaiah, “the people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, and for those who sat in the region and shadow of death light has dawned.” Jesus is the light that has come, and Christians are called to spread the good news and shine their own light toward Christ.
