SHUFFLEBOARD CLUB

A large crowd of Shuffleboard Club members met on Jan. 8 to discuss the upcoming winter league and outline upcoming social events that include Valentine’s Day and St. Patrick’s Day potluck parties, the special LaCascia Tournament in June and an August picnic, making 2026 a customary year full of social events and fun activities geared for building friendships.

Members expressed that having Santa at the holiday party was a great addition and thanked Vivian Ceballos for her many contributions as chair of the event. Rosters were passed out to each member playing in the winter leagues. Members were encouraged to tell their captains as soon as possible in the season if they knew they would be absent due to appointments or travel. Open play will continue Monday mornings. A call was put out for more volunteers if members wanted to reopen another practice session on Wednesdays. The club leadership will investigate purchasing signage to more clearly identify the court building and address and to have a defibrillator on hand in case of an emergency.
