Karaoke Club’s country western jamboree is Jan. 28
Every Wednesday night, Clubhouse 1 overflows with enthusiastic karaoke fans. Singers eagerly await their turn to perform for an attentive and appreciative audience. A smiling Barbie May often chooses heartfelt country tunes, while Bob Barnum brought the house down on Jan. 14 with a resounding finale of “Surrender.” The mellow voice of Elizabeth Butterfield was a pleasure to hear, and Richard Yokomi and Mariza Joaquin keep things lively with upbeat hits that invite dancing. Ellen Brannigan always gets the audience singing right along with her. Thirty-eight karaoke performers took the stage and kept the audience entertained all evening with a wonderful variety of music.
The club’s annual Karaoke Country Western Jamboree will be held Wednesday, Jan. 28, from 5:30-9:30 p.m. in Clubhouse 1. Folks will don cowboy hats and sing hits from the country singers. All are welcome to join the fun.
