First Christian Church
First Christian Church of Leisure World teaches from God’s word, the Holy Bible, verse by verse. It is a friendly church that welcomes all visitors to join in worship and explore God’s word together, “That we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine,” Romans 1:12.
Pastor’s Message
The apostle Paul wrote in Romans 11:1, “I say then, God has not rejected His people, has He? May it never be!”
In Romans 11:25, Paul said, “For I do not want you, brethren to be uninformed of this mystery that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of Gentiles has come; and so all Israel will be saved.”
Paul points out to the Romans that once the Gentiles were disobedient to God, but now have been shown mercy and because of the mercy shown to the Jews also will be shown mercy.
God made a covenant with the Jews and from God’s standpoint, they are beloved for the calling and covenants of God are irrevocable.
Weekly Services
Sunday services are held from 9:30-10:45 a.m. and are traditional with hymnal music led by Janet Ray with Sherry Parmenter at the piano. Sandy Carlson will sing the special music this weekend.
Saturday services from 9:3010:45 a.m. include contemporary songs of worship, led by Gregory Black with guitar and vocal accompaniment.
Midweek Studies
Melli Herrera leads the Monday Bible Study from 10:3011:30 a.m.
Pastor Bruce Humes leads the Thursday Bible Study from 10:3011:30 a.m. and the Friday Prayer and Bible Study from 4-5 p.m.
All Leisure World residents are welcome to attend.
