Sunshine Club
Dr. Megan Mar will speak to the Sunshine Club on Friday, Jan. 16, in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, at 10 a.m.
Mar is a physical therapist who received her doctorate of physical therapy from Chapman University and her bachelor’s degree from University of California, San Diego. She is certified as an advanced vestibular physical therapist to address dizziness and balance.
In addition to treating patients at Complete Balance Solutions Clinic for various neurological disorders, she served as adjunct faculty at Chapman University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program, teaching course topics of neurological and vestibular physical therapy management.
She is certified in LSVT BIG, a specialized training program for people with Parkinson’s disease. Mar is passionate about speaking to community groups about patient education and fall prevention. She has experience as a clinical instructor, training and evaluating physical therapy doctoral students during clinical rotation.
Mar’s areas of interest include vestibular rehabilitation, neurologic disorders, balance therapy and fall prevention, and autonomic dysfunction. In addition to neurologic and vestibular rehabilitation, she has a background in orthopedics and sports rehab with emphasis on lower extremity disorders.
