Leisure Leggers walk Mondays

Leisure Leggers’ founder and president Tom Pontac came in first in his age group at the Run in the New Year 5K event. At 89 years old, Pontac’s motto is “old age isn’t for sissies!”

The Leisure Leggers is one of Leisure World’s oldest walking/ running clubs. Started in 2000 by Pontac, the Leggers goal is to inspire fitness by developing the athlete within. The group meets every Monday in front of Clubhouse 6 at 8 a.m. for a walk around Leisure World and coffee afterward.
