Congregation Sholom
Congregation Sholom will hold services via Zoom with Rabbi Eric Dangott on Friday, Jan. 16. at 6:30 p.m. Rabbi Mike Mymon will lead the hybrid service on Saturday, Jan. 17, in Clubhouse 3, Room 9, and on Zoom at 10 a.m. Saturday’s Torah reading will be Shemot. Shemot (Names) is the first Torah reading in the Book of
Rabbi Mike Mymon Exodus. It describes the enslavement of the Israelites in Egypt. Moses is born, placed in a basket on the Nile River, and adopted into Pharaoh’s household. He later encounters God at a burning bush and begins his mission of demanding that Pharaoh let the Israelites go. Lunch and Learn will follow the Saturday service, sponsored by Rosie Rubin.
