Assembly of God

By this time in January, New Year’s resolutions have been made and maybe forgotten. What seemed achievable on Jan. 1 fell victim to time schedules, unexpected circumstances, illness and a myriad of other barriers. Experts offer this advice for successfully establishing a new habit: make measurable goals instead of stating vague intentions. “I will be healthier in 2026” is not measurable. “I will drink eight glasses of water each day” is a clear, attainable goal.

God has provided clearly defined, measurable goals in Ephesians 5:15-20 for a successful life, not just the new year. They consist of three don’ts and four do’s. Pastor Chuck Franco will preach a sermon titled “New Year Advice” on Sunday, Jan. 11, at 10:30 a.m., in the lobby of Clubhouse 3, the new home for LW Assembly of God. People can come early to enjoy coffee with friends.

The Wednesday Bible study is at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, with a new study from Francis Chan.
