In Library Leads, library staff highlight new additions to the library collection that are worth checking out.

“The History of Love,” by Nicole Krauss Genre: Literary Fiction

Sixty years after a book’s publication, its author remembers his lost love and missing son, while a teenage girl named for one of the book’s characters seeks her namesake, as well as a cure for her widowed mother’s loneliness.

Slowly he became a lifeline for lonely people, providing moments of human contact and the assurance that the government still cares. He embraced tackling new challenges, contributing to something greater than himself, the joy of camaraderie, and the purpose found in working hard and doing a small, good thing for his community.
