Faith Christian Assembly
For many people, December is a favorite time of year; they enjoy the beautiful colors, the lights, and the music of the Christmas season. For some, this is not only where the season ends, but where the hopefulness of the season ends. Believers know this hope is only found in Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:3 provides a promise: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope.”
Hebrews 6:19-20 says, “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf.” Hope accomplishes for the soul the same thing an anchor does for a ship: it makes it secure.
