Scrabble Club luncheon is Dec. 17

The Leisure World Scrabble Club meets every Wednesday in Clubhouse 3, Room 5, from 1-4 p.m. On Dec. 17, the club will celebrate Christmas with a luncheon beginning at noon.

The club met on the last three Wednesdays in November. There were 35 scores above 300—seven of which were higher than 400— and 24 bingos. A bingo is the use of all seven tiles in one move.

Suthy Edgar led with nine totals above 300 and 12 bingos. The range of her scores was from 303 to 432. Diane Seeger topped 300 nine times also. She recorded six bingos. Her scores ranged from 319 to 449.

Jim Schneiderman and Larry Edgar each bettered 300 seven times and each had three bingos. Edgar’s totals ranged from 315 to 420. Those of Schneiderman were from 304 to 426.

Kay Pushman topped 300 twice, ranging from 312 to 361. Myrna Loscuadro posted a score of 313.
