Meetings for the Atherton Ward are held at 6500 E. Atherton St., Long Beach. Sacrament service is held every Sunday at 10:30 a.m., followed in the second hour by Sunday school on the first and third Sundays. The Relief Society and Elders Quorum meetings are held on the second and fourth Sundays. Primary classes for children are held every Sunday during the second hour. There will only be one hour of meetings on Dec. 21. The Sacrament meeting will be at 10:30 a.m. along with other meetings held that day.

Starting Jan. 4, the Sacrament meeting will begin at 9 a.m. with second-hour meetings being held from 10-11 a.m.

The course of study this year is the Doctrine and Covenants. Personal study of the Doctrine and Covenants for the week of Dec. 15-21 should be centered on “The Family: A Proclamation to the World” in “Come Follow Me.”
