Assembly of God

On Sunday, Dec. 14, Assembly of God’s Christmas sermon series will center on what Jesus brought when he came to earth. The title for this message is “Jesus Came to Bring Hope,” based on the Luke 2:21-35 passage. Hope is what carries the human spirit through the darkest of times. When present circumstances, either personal or in society at large, seem grim, hope is the light that draws one forward. Jesus is the embodiment of hope. Not merely a wish, but the confidence that God is who he says he is, and he is going to do what he says will do.

The topic of the Wednesday Bible study,“What Does the Bible Say?” for this week is “How Does God’s Story Continue?” The story of God reaching, redeeming and restoring is still being written. The same God who performed miracles in the time of Moses is performing miracles today, transforming lives of people who turn to him. The study is a brief video lesson, followed by class discussion and insights.
