LW Women’s Golf Club invites women to join in

All Leisure World women are invited to join the LW Women’s Golf Club. There are weekly nine hole tournaments and several luncheons throughout the year. There will be a women’s holiday golf luncheon with food, entertainment and fun on Tuesday, Dec. 2. See the flyer in the golf starter shack to learn more.

Nov. 3 brought 31 women to the golf course for the weekly tournament. Play for the day was low gross, low net and circle hole on No. 8. No one landed their ball in the circle.

A flight winners: Sophia Kim, 26, low gross; Soo Choi, 25, low net.

B flight winners: Susie Kim, 29, low gross; Patty Littrell, 26, low net.

C flight winners: Janet Song, 31, low gross; Marilyn Hewitt, 25, low net.

D flight winners: Bonnie Kilmer, 34, low gross; Sue Elliot, 25, low net.

Fun fact: low net is determined by a player’s nine hole score minus her handicap. For example, a 28 gross with a handicap of 2 results in a low net of 26. — Linda Herman
