LW MEN'S GOLF LEAGUE
Seven golfers of the Leisure World Men’s Golf League competed at the 5,800-yard par 70 River View Golf Course on Oct. 24.
Six of the seven golfers shot net at or under par with several very good scores. There was one birdie by Kyle Van, and Jim Goltra achieved the rare—for senior golfers—eagle (2 under par for the hole) on the long par 5 15th hole. Sam Choi was closest to the pin on the 140-yard par 3 second hole, and Won Park was closest to the pin on the 100-yard par 3 ninth. Gary Stivers and Goltra had fewest putts for the A flight, and Park had fewest in the B.

A flight winners: Van, 10 under 60, first place; Stivers, 5 under 65, second; Goltra, 4 under 66, third; Sam Choi, 2 under 68, fourth; Clay Fisher, fifth.
B flight winners: Park, 2 under 68, first place; Mike Jimenez, even par 70, second.
Sixteen golfers competed at the 5,600-yard par 71 Meadowlark Golf Course on Oct. 27.
Eleven of the 16 golfers shot net at or below par. There were five birdies—two each by Jim Goltra and Clay Fisher, and one by Chris Lankford. Fujio Norihiro was closest to the pin on the 140-yard par 3 seventh hole, and Fisher was closest on the 140-yard par 3 16th. Goltra had fewest putts in A flight, and Randy Massaro in the B.
A flight winners: Norihiro, 6 under, first place; Jae Choi, 2 under, second; Fisher and Goltra, 1 under, third; Larry Hillhouse, even par, fourth; Lankford, Gary Stivers and Sam Choi, fifth.
B flight winners: Dom Bautista, 10 under, first place; Massaro, 6 under, second; Sergio Borbon, 5 under, third; Bruno Santillo, 4 under, fourth; Tom Ross, 3 under, fifth; Won Park, even par, sixth; Scott Slade and Bob Munn, seventh.
The Monday and Friday golf leagues play at four local courses. Advance league reservations are required with a sign-up sheet available at each round.
