The sixth week of the Leisure World Pool Club winter season was highlighted by close matches. In the National League, 7-6 winners were league-leading R U Chalking 2 Me and 3 Lads.

In the American League, all three matches ended in 8-5 scores. Winners were Hot Sticks, Burners and RDS. Individual standouts were Susan Dobson and Dennis Bedford.

The league night singles wins leaders through week seven for the American League are Gary Snow, 10; Jennifer Spindler, Dennis Bedford, 9. National League leaders are Dave Mackinder, 11; Ron Kennedy, Paul Shellenberger, Phouc Tran, 9.

In the straight pool league, Dave Silva (13-1) has clinched a first-round bye in the playoffs, and John Barth (7-7) has won four straight matches to pull into a tie for the final playoff spot with Ren Villanueva and Patrick Conlon.
