Meetings for the Atherton Ward are held at 6500 E. Atherton Street, Long Beach. Sacrament service is held every Sunday at 10:30 a.m., followed in the second hour by Sunday school on the first and third Sundays. The Relief Society and Elders Quorum meetings are held on the second and fourth Sundays. Primary classes for children are held every Sunday during the second hour.

This year the stake will host a free “A Night in Bethlehem” on Dec. 12, 13 and 14 at the Long Beach East Stake Center, 4142 Cerritos Avenue Los Alamitos, 90720. Come stroll through Bethlehem, listen to the choir, and enjoy cookies and hot chocolate. The Light the World vending machines will help believers to help others through- out the world. People can reach out to a member of the church for tickets.

The course of study this year is the Doctrine and Covenants. Personal study of the Doctrine and Covenants for the week of Nov. 3-9 should be centered on the Doctrine and Covenants Section 125-128 in “Come Follow Me.”
