Setting It Straight
Tibor “Ted” Rubin, the Medal of Honor veteran featured in a story in the Oct. 2 LW Weekly, died in 2015 at the age of 86. His daughter and nephews will give a program about him at 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 9 in Clubhouse 4 in an event sponsored by Congregation Sholom. Rubin, who was a Hungarian-American army corporal, survived the Holocaust and immigrated to the U.S. in 1948. He fought in the Korean War and was awarded the Medal of Honor for his wartime heroics as a combatant and a prisoner of war.
