Joyful members enjoyed club-sponsored lunch and dancing Oct. 9
JOYFUL LINE DANCE
On Oct. 9, the Joyful Line Dance Club had a members’ only dance party and a club-sponsored lunch with freshly prepared Sprouts sandwiches. Over 65 people attended the party, learned new dances, made friends and had fun.
The club meets on Thursdays from 10 a.m.-noon in Clubhouse 2. It divides its classes into two parts with a brief break in between—for beginners and more experienced dancers.
Each class begins with Albert Comia teaching the beginner dances. Karen Kei leads the second hour of the class with a routine suitable for intermediate to advanced dancers. She also teaches one or two new line dances each month.
People are welcome to stay for the duration of a class or just attend the first or second half of it. With a variety of dances each class offers everyone can find their groove. Exercise shoes are advised; no flip flops or sandals.
All attendees must be members of the club. The cost is $20 per calendar year. For more information, text 562-301-5339.
