Tickets on sale to Museum of Latin American Art
GRF BUS TRIP
The GRF Recreation Department will coordinate a bus trip to the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA) in Long Beach on Wednesday, Nov. 19.
The bus will depart from the Amphitheater parking lot at 9 a.m. and return at approximately 3 p.m., giving participants a full day to enjoy the museum. Guests will be greeted with tea, coffee and biscuits in the museum lobby before receiving a personal welcome from MOLAA President and CEO Dr. Lourdes I. Ramos. A guided tour with Chief Curator Gabriela Urtiaga will introduce participants to highlights of the museum’s collection.
Midday, travelers will enjoy a fresh boxed lunch served in the museum’s Sculpture Garden. Surrounded by greenery and outdoor artwork, this casual yet elegant meal offers a wonderful setting to relax, recharge and connect with fellow guests.
The afternoon concludes with a VIP behind the scenes tour, offering an insider’s look at MOLAA that is not available to the general public.
Tickets are $75 per person and include museum admission, boxed lunch and round-trip transportation. Tickets go on sale Monday, Oct. 13, at 8:30 a.m. and can be purchased online at https://www.lwsb.com/ special-events/ or in person at the Recreation Office, located on the ground floor of Building C. In-person purchases can be made using cash, check, debit or credit card. Participants must fill out a release form.
Online purchases will incur a 3.2% service fee, while inperson debit and credit card purchases will have a 2.3% service fee. There is no service fee for cash or check payments made in person.
Seating is limited and this event is expected to sell out quickly. Early purchase is strongly encouraged to secure a spot on this exclusive cultural outing.
