Building C Roofing Underway
Roof replacement work is underway at Building C, part of a broader re-roofing project that also includes the LW Library and the Friends of the Library Bookstore.
At its Aug. 26 meeting, the GRF Board of Directors approved a $147,150 contract with Fontaine Weatherproofing for the roofing work, along with $24,887 to Greenwood Heating and Air for the removal and reinstallation of HVAC equipment during the project. Both expenses are being covered by Reserve funds.
Work began in late September and is expected to take about 60 days, weather permitting. The projects are not expected to affect parking. Residents may notice increased noise levels in the library when construction begins on Oct. 13.
Workers from Fontaine Weatherproofing work on the roof of Building C on Sept. 30.
