LW Women’s Golf Club

Sept. 23 brought 28 women to the Leisure World golf course for the weekly tournament of the LW Women’s Golf Club. Play for the day was low gross, low net, and chip ins. Par for the course is 27. Each woman establishes a handicap. All women are invited to join the club. There are meetings, luncheons and special tournaments. Golfing is great exercise, and also a way to meet people and develop friendships.

A flight winners: Clara Suh, 27, low gross; Hae Lee, 25, low net.

B flight winners: Janice Turner, 29, low gross; Janet Song and Sandy Kim, 24, low net; chip ins: Sandy Kim, No. 4; Janell Hiebert, No. 2.

C flight winners: Joann Lim, 28, low gross; Lynn Baidack and Judy Kim, 24, low net; chip ins: Janet Song, No. 4; Janell Hiebert, No. 2; Joann Lim, No. 4.

D flight winners: Sue Sloan, 33, low gross; Bonnie Kilmer, 24, low net.
