Indivisible will hold another Pacific Coast Highway rally on Saturday, Sept. 27, titled “California Strong: Hold the Line.” Starting at 10 a.m., protestors will drop their signs, lock arms, and stand in silence for 15 minutes, then resume the peaceful protest again until noon. This is being organized by a coalition of Indivisible, 50501 and Democratic Clubs throughout California participating from Ventura to Dana Point. Another nationwide “No Kings” peaceful protest by Indivisible will be held Saturday, Oct. 18. The previous “No Kings” day broke records at 2,169 protests and 27 countries participating.

CADEM has several opportunities to volunteer by canvassing, phone banking or sending postcards to voters. People can learn more by downloading the CADEM app on the Apple Store or the Google Play Store.

The LW Democratic Club is grateful for everyone’s participation in the annual fundraiser, and thanks everyone who was able to contribute. A final report will be given at the membership meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 22, in Clubhouse 3, Room 2 at 1:30 p.m.

The club’s Chair of Voter Education Bev Bender has scheduled the next session to be on Wednesday, Oct. 8, in Clubhouse 3, Room 3, from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. for postcarding. Reservations are not required. For more information on the event, email beverleybender@gmail.com.

The Democratic Club’s Sept. 24 membership meeting featured Rick Foster, a Democrat `from Seal Beach as its guest speaker. Foster is running for a State Senate seat in the 36th District against Tony Strickland.

There are some changes to the upcoming membership meetings due to the holidays. The club’s regularly scheduled meeting for Nov. 26 is moved to the following week on Dec. 3. The December membership meeting is cancelled.

Visit the Democratic Club’s Hospitality Booth on the first Tuesday and third Thursdays each month from 10:30 a.m.12:30 p.m. and meet with likeminded individuals, register to vote, change address, or change party affiliation. The Lunch Bunch meets on the first Wednesday of each month. The group is a gathering of old and new friends to enjoy a meal together at Hof ’s Hut at 11:30 a.m. For more information, email Debbie Wrathall at Debbiewrathall@mac.com.
