Board of Supervisors recognizes Prostate Forum of Orange County at its September meeting
Orange County Supervisors Doug Chaffee and Donald Wagner introduced a resolution proclaiming September as Prostate Cancer Awareness Month at the Sept. 9 Board of Supervisors meeting. The Prostate Forum of Orange County Board members Ira Kaget, Mutual 15, and Dr. Charles Metzger were recognized by the Orange County Board of Supervisors for their activities to bring awareness and resources they provide to men in need.
Prostate cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer with one out of seven men diagnosed globally. Spreading awareness is crucial because early detection greatly increases the chances of successful treatment and survival.
