GATE ACCESS

The Golden Rain Foundation upgraded its gate access software, Proptia, on Sept. 15. The new system features improvements and remedies to bugs that exist in the current system.

To ensure each account’s security, the new system requires users to use strong passwords. People who do not have strong passwords will not be prompted to update their password. Instead, once the new system goes into effect, their old, weaker password will simply stop working. Residents can change their password by selecting the “Forgot Password?” option and selecting a new password.

Here are some frequently asked questions about the upgrade: How do I access Proptia to manage my guest list?

Residents can access the Proptia portal from a new, simpler URL: portal. proptia. com. People can also access the portal through the LWSB website, www.lwsb.com, by clicking “Gate Access Portal” at the top of the homepage.

Residents can also manage their guest lists by using the Proptia app, which is free to download from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Can I still call in my guests?

Some people chose not to use Proptia’s online guest management system, and find it simpler to call in their guests manually. Those people can continue to call in their guests to Security at 562-594-4754.

Why won’t Proptia tell users who needs to change their password and who doesn’t?

The current password list is encrypted to protect users’ account information and prevent password theft, so there is no way to determine whose passwords meet the new criteria.

All users are encouraged to create new, complex passwords.
