Briana Greeley, granddaughter of Mutual 11 residents Eileen Dohl and Beth Greeley, recently graduated magna cum laude with a degree in mechanical engineering, a discipline that applies physics, math and materials science to design, analyze, build and maintain mechanical systems. She has a sharp mind and tireless work ethic. She excelled in one of the most demanding academic fields, while also pushing her physical limits as an avid triathlete. Briana’s accomplishments don’t stop at the classroom. She’s completed numerous marathons across the country, including the demanding Half Ironman, a race featuring a 1.2mile swim, 56-mile bike ride, and a 13.1-mile run. Training while managing a full engineering course load took discipline and focus, qualities she credits in part to the encouragement of her parents and grandmothers, who have been her biggest supporters from day one.
She’s looking forward to a career in engineering and also preparing for her next personal challenge: completing a full Ironman. With her determination and the support of her family, there’s no doubt she’ll cross that finish line too.
