LW Pool League plays its first week of fall season

The first week of the LW fall pool league began on Sept. 8. There are six three-person teams with A, B and C level players. In the eight ball and nine ball singles matches, players only compete against their same level opponent. Every player plays doubles with each of their partners in eight ball and nine ball. The final game of the night is eight ball, where all three partners on each team alternate shots. In a 13-game match, there’s always a winning team.

In the first match, RDS edged BGE 7-6. Rusty Aquino and Dennis Bedford won both of their singles matches.

The Snow Bros beat the Ball Busters 8-5. Gary Snow of Snow Bros won both of his singles and teammates Ray Friedrichsen and Guta Basner each won four of their seven games.

The Hot Sticks edged the Renegades 7-6. The Hot Sticks A player, Kurt Bourhenne led his team with five wins.

On Wednesday night, On the Eight edged the Pocket Predators 7-6. However, the Predators made it close by winning the last four games. Jeff Furlong won both of his singles matches for On the Eight.

R U Chalking 2 Me beat the Favorites 9-4. Phuoc Tran and Brian Tivnan each won six games for R U Chalking 2 Me.

The 3 Lads beat Raising Cane 9-4. The 3 Lads won five of the six doubles matches and the final three-person eight ball game. Earick Ward won six games for the 3 Lads, losing only his nine ball match. After the first week, there is a tie for first place between the 3 Lads and R U Chalking 2 Me.
