PROPTIA UPGRADE

On Monday, Sept. 15, all three gates will be operated manually starting at 10 a.m. due to a scheduled upgrade of the community’s gate access software. The upgrade is expected to take several hours. Residents should expect delays at all three gates and are encouraged to adjust their schedules accordingly.

While the system is down, Security will visually check each vehicle for an RFID or valid decal. Residents without either vehicle marker must present their GRF ID card. Guests can present their printed guest pass for entry, or a picture ID card if they’ve been called in. Security will have temporary passes for individuals without paper passes.

Residents can continue to call in their guests by providing their guest’s name directly to Security. Here are some frequently asked questions about the upgrade:

How will people get through the gates on the day of the upgrade?

On the day of the upgrade, the Proptia system will deactivate at all three gates. This means that residents’ headlamp RFID tags will not active the gate arms. Guests’ QR code passes will not work either. People entering the gates should have their decal, RFID tag, GRF ID card, or drivers’ license ready to present to Security staff.

How do I access Proptia to manage my guest list?

Anyone who needs to make changes to their guest list before the upgrade can do so by going online to https://leisureworldsealbeach. access.proptia.com/Login.

Once the system is upgraded, residents will be able to access the Proptia portal from a new, simpler URL: portal.proptia.com. People will still be able to access the portal through the LWSB website, www.lwsb.com, by clicking “Gate Access Portal” at the top of the homepage.

What if I want to call in a guest?

Some people chose not to use Proptia’s online guest management system, and find it simpler to call in their guests manually.

Those people can continue to call in their guests before, during and after the upgrade. Security staff will manage a written list of guests. Security operates 24/7 and people can call in guests at 562-594-4754.

Why is it necessary to shut down the gates on the day of the upgrade?

On Sept. 15, IT staff will conduct a “forklift migration” to a new, digital environment. The gate system cannot be operated while the data is being migrated, so gates must be operated manually for the duration of the migration, which is expected to last several hours.

Why did my password stop working after the Sept. 15 upgrade?

To ensure each account’s security, the new system requires users to use strong passwords. People who do not have strong passwords will not be prompted to update their password. Instead, once the new system goes into effect, their old, weaker password will simply stop working. Residents can change their password by selecting the “Forgot Password?” option and selecting a new password.

Is Proptia 2.0 any better than Proptia 1.0?

The new system features improvements and remedies to bugs that exist in the current system. Proptia is requiring all of its users to migrate their data onto Proptia 2.0.
