The next safety class provided by the LW Community Emergency Response Team (LW CERT) will be on Friday, Sept. 26, at 9 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 9. The topic for the class this month is titled “12 Ways to Get Prepared” and will teach residents how to learn to be ready to face any emergency or disaster, taught by LW CERT President Catherine O’Brien.

LW CERT’s free monthly safety classes are 45 minutes long, and all residents are welcome to join. Refreshments are provided.

During the August’s safety class titled, “Resilience: What Do I Do After a Disaster,” taught by LW CERT Vice President Fara Q. Macartney, along with CERT member Sandie Eckhardt, attendees learned ways to be more resilient physically, mentally and emotionally to recover quickly after a disaster.

August’s giveaway was a first aid kit, won by Nick Massetti.
