Produce Box distribution is today

The Seal Beach Lion's Club will hold its monthly Produce Box distribution Program today, Aug. 28, in the Clubhouse 6 parking lot from 10 a.m.-noon.

LWers can purchase a 12-pound box of fresh fruits and vegetables just in time for the Labor Day holiday.

All residents are welcome to participate. There are no restrictions or qualifications to receive a box other than a GRF ID card. Each box costs $10 in cash; limit one box per GRF card.

Demand is growing. Last month the 175 boxes sold out before 11 a.m. The club will be increasing the order for August, however, supplies are limited, so plan to come early.

Resident can buy to assist their neighbors with purchasing a box, but must present the neighbor’s GRF ID. The Lion’s Club will honor each GRF card presented.
