MEDICARE 101
Medicare generally covers both primary care and urgent care, but they serve different needs.
Primary Care
Primary care is designed for comprehensive, ongoing healthcare with a provider who gets to know you and your health history. Many primary care doctors also have virtual visits available. Primary care covers:
• Managing conditions like diabetes and heart disease.
• Planning long-term health with consistent follow-up care.
• Building a relationship with a consistent care team.
Urgent Care
Urgent care provides immediate appointments and is good for:
• MinorinfectionssuchasUTI;sinusinfectionsandstrepthroat.
• Cold and flu symptoms requiring prompt treatment.
• Skin conditions like sudden rashes or allergic reactions.
• Minor injuries that need a professional assessment.
Some Medicare plans offer after hours urgent care virtual chats. To learn more about Medicare, contact Sandra Teel at Steelmedagent@ gmail.com, 681-446-7135 or 909-856-9379.
