Next scheduled Indivisible Demonstration is Labor Day

On Monday, Sept. 1, Labor Day, The LW Democratic Club will participate in the Indivisible organization's demonstration “No Mad Kings,” protest from noon-2 p.m., on Pacific Coast Highway and Main street. People are also welcome to join the club under the LW globe from 2-3 p.m. for a continuation of the protest. Signs will be available in both places.

Visit the Democratic Club’s Hospitality Booth on the first Tuesday and third Thursdays each month form 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Stop by and visit with like-minded individuals, register to vote, change address, or change party affiliation. The Voter Education Series is held on the second Wednesday of the month from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., in Clubhouse 3, Room 3. While reservations are not necessary, it’s a good idea to arrive there early. For more information about the September session, email Beverleybender@gmail.com.

The Lunch Bunch meets on the first Wednesday of each month. The group is an enthusiastic gathering of old and new friends to enjoy a meal together at Hof ’s Hut at 11:30 a.m. For more information, email Debbie Wrathall at Debbiewrathall@mac.com.

Former club president and current publicity chair Mary Larson, who has been the editor of the newsletter and newspaper article for many years and has been out. The club looks forward to her return.
