GRF Health and Safety Manager Eloy Gomez will speak at the Sunshine Club meeting on Friday, Aug. 22, in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, at 10 a.m.

Gomez is a certified Cal-OSHA instructor, Red Cross certified instructor, Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) instructor and a certified Emergency Management Specialist by the California Specialized Training Institute (CSTI).

His favorite hobby is working on his personal vehicles as a mechanic. Gomez has assisted an auto repair shop in Tustin for over 27 years. During his presentation, he will speak about vehicle maintenance, finding the best deal for auto repairs, and how to do a bit of homework to avoid being taken advantage of at a repair shop. Gomez will also speak about when is the best time to stop driving and begin using Leisure World’s free public transportation.
