Where We Live Club
The Where We Live Club believes one of the greatest advantages in Leisure World is the incredible range of life experience, professional expertise and practical knowledge among residents. Leisure World is a community of engineers, educators, health professionals, business owners, public servants, and problem-solvers—all with valuable insights and perspectives shaped over decades.
This makes the community uniquely equipped to help guide meaningful improvements by helping shape solutions.
The club invites residents to participate in the newly forming Resident Advisory Circles: small, informal, short-term groups designed to gather input on specific topics like safety, landscaping, budgeting, finance, communication and more.
Importantly, this is not a big or stressful commitment. These Advisory Circles are low-pressure, time-limited and entirely voluntary—simply an opportunity for interested residents to share their experiences and ideas in a supportive, solutionsfocused setting.
The new GRF Board is asking for input from residents, and this is every resident’s chance to help make sure the decisions reflect the insight and experience so many of the talented people who live here can bring to the table.
The club encourages those who have ideas on how things can be done better or have personal experience regarding an issue to attend a board meeting and report back to the club.
Members are encouraged to attend any GRF committee meeting (listed in the Government section of the LW Weekly on page 5) and share what they learned at the next Where We Live Club meeting on Monday, Sept. 8, in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, from 6-7 p.m.
Note that this meeting will be held on a different week than usual due to the Labor Day holiday.
