Community Church
Everyone is aware how devastating a fire can be. On Sunday, Aug. 17, Community Church will look at a passage in the Gospel of Luke where Jesus shares this insight: “I have come to cast fire upon the earth, and how I wish it were already ablaze!” What are believers to make of these words of Jesus, especially in this time of fires raging around us?
Community Church is a place where everyone is welcome, provided they are willing to be part of the community. The church does not welcome hate, or bigotry, or sexism, or homophobia. All are welcome who are welcoming to all.
People are welcome to join Community Church’s “Coffee with the Pastor” on Thursdays at 10 a.m. This is a great opportunity for those who want a low-key opportunity to meet Pastor Johan Dodge and some of the members of the church before attending a service. No prior church experience is required.
The people at Community Church are focused on the “kindom,” building community, and living God’s love. Those who are experiencing hate or bitterness either in their own heart toward themselves or others could benefit from this community.
Community Church meets for its worship service every Sunday at 9:50 a.m. at 14000 Church Place, near the St. Andrews Gate.
