Eagles show will feature Fisher House fundraiser
AMERICAN LEGION POST 327
The American Legion Post 327 will accept donations for the Long Beach Fisher House today, Thursday, Aug. 7, at the Eagles tribute show at the Amphitheater.
Tables will be set up at all Amphitheater entrances at 6 p.m. Cash and checks will be accepted, and all funds are greatly appreciated.
The Golden Rain Foundation gives back to the community by raising funds for local charities. This is the second year it has asked the American Legion to help collect donations for Fisher House.
The Fisher House provides free housing for families of wounded veterans who are in long term rehabilitation services at the Long Beach Tibor Rubin Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Having their families with them helps the veterans get through their rehabilitation faster.
The Fisher House provides family members with housing as well as meals while they are there. In 2024, the Legion raised $1,250 at the Amphitheater show and it hopes to beat that number this year.
