Humanist Association

The Leisure World Humanist Association will meet on Sunday, Aug. 3, in Clubhouse 3, Room 1, at 10:30 a.m.

Juan Bernal, author of “A Trek Through the Foothills of Philosophy” and “Philosophy in the Light and in the Shadows” will be the meeting’s guest speaker.

Bernal will speak to the club about reflections on the concept of history. He will discuss what counts as history, as well as examples of subjective interpretations of history and how to distill fact from fiction.
