The Democratic Club’s hospitality booth is open the first Tuesday and the third Thursday each month from 10:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. People are welcome to stop by and visit with likeminded individuals, register to vote, change address, or change party affiliation. Each Saturday members of the LW Democratic Club join the “Ladies at the Globe,” as the ad hoc group keep relevant issues at the forefront. Don’t like the price of eggs, deportations, tariffs or the economy? People are invited to have their opinions be seen and heard under the Globe on Saturdays from 2-3 p.m. for a peaceful hour of expression.
The Voter Education series is now held on second Wednesday of the month from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 3. While reservations are not necessary it’s encouraged to get there early. For more information about the upcoming August session, email Beverleybender@gmail.com.
On the first Wednesday is when the Lunch Bunch group, a gathering of old and new friends, meets to enjoy a meal together at Hof ’s Hut at 11:30 a.m. For more information, email Debbie Wrathall at Debbiewrathall@mac.com.
The Democratic Club’s next membership meeting will be on Wednesday, July 23, in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, at 1:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Joe Kalmick from the Seal Beach City Council. Kalmick will address his role and the search for his replacement. All current and potential members are invited to arrive as early as 12:30 to socialize with other people.
