Gong Club Show: July 25

The Gong Club will hold a “Christmas in July” themed party on Friday, July 25, in Clubhouse 6, with an any-way-you-like it happy hour starting at 6 p.m. Six volunteer helpers are needed to assist with setup by 5. Interested volunteers should contact Lu DeSantis by text or call 310-686-4763 as soon as possible.

Host DeSantis will introduce two special Leisure World residents who will discuss their pre-holiday season news. Bev Bender, Leisure World’s certified laugh coach, will provide laugh workshop dates. Yevette Louie, vice president of the Lapidary & Jewelry Club, will share plans for autumn workshops.

The show will begin at 7 with a dramatic reading of “‘Twas the Night before Christmas,” then transition to some fun games and an ugly holiday T-shirt contest, then live music from Richie Freedman and his band.
