Enhance situational awareness skills on July 14

EMERGENCY INFORMATION COUNCIL

San Diego’s Secure Community Network Director Bill Ganley will speak at the Emergency Information Council’s (EIC) meeting on Monday, July 14, at 1:30 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 9. The title of his talk is “Be Aware: An Introduction to Situational Awareness.”

Ganley will talk about the importance of situational awareness and awareness levels, making informed decisions, and identifying circumstances.

Besides educating seniors about personal safety, Ganley’s job responsibilities include implementing a region-wide emergency communications system; monitoring intelligence related to terrorism and public safety; and assisting with the coordination of security for major events in the community.
